Floral Ocean

I came across an old sketchbook of mine from when I was 12-13 years old. I used to do these elaborate doodles and then color them in with crayons. The color scheme was really choppy but all I remember was how calm I felt just sitting there drawing with my music in my ears, lost in my own world. My family was falling apart at the time and that was my favorite way to dissociate with the world.

Well, it inspired me to draw this new piece with the same style 12 years later.

Just doodle and color it in later. Except I used color pencils this time. The work is still really choppy, it only looks good here because I used filters and effects to give it more flare. But these kinds of drawings are just so calming to draw. It’s simple hobbies like this that I’ve missed.
